Frigidaire FAD301NWD

Frigidaire FAD301NWD review
The Frigidaire FAD301NWD Energy Star 30 pint Dehumidifier is a well-designed product, that helps remove moisture within the air, as well as removing unwanted smells, and bacteria within the air. This is a smaller version of other Frigidaire Dehumidifiers, such as the 50 and 70 pint Dehumidifiers that are designed for slightly less humid conditions. By removing moisture from within the air, it stops the moisture from forming mold and mildew, and protects your home from this unwanted bacteria, and keeping your home perfectly bacteria free.

Features

  • Continuous Operating System allows you to remove the water instantly, when connected to a nearby drainage point, by using a hose
  • Full tank alert system, notifies you when it needs to be emptied, as well as stopping the Dehumidifier to prevent it from overflowing
  • Comes with a built-in 12 pint pull-out tank at the front of the Dehumidifier
  • Removes up to 30 pints of water within a day
  • Anti-bacterial filter reduces the bacteria, and other unwanted airborne particles
  • Weight: 31lbs

Proz

  • Comes with a 6ft. three-pronged cable, so that you won’t need to buy any extension cable to use this product
  • Has a lower temperature system, which saves money and energy
  • Designed for easy mobility, with top and side handles, as well as caster wheels on the bottom
  • The Continuous Operating System is useful as it will allow you to have it on all the time, without it filling up and turning itself off automatically

Cons

  • It only has mechanical controls, whereas other models have an electronic display
  • Because it comes with mechanical controls, this Dehumidifier does not have a timer like the other models do, so you can only turn it on/off, there is no way for it to turn on at a certain time whilst you aren’t in
  • This is also quiet noisy compared to the others, even though it only has one cooling fan, whereas the other models have two
  • Like the other models, it can take time and effort to set up the Continuous Drainage System, but it is worth it once you have done it

Where

Overall, this is quite a basic model, and is priced very reasonably, if you are looking for a Dehumidifier that is fairly simple and just gets the job done, then this is the one for you. It is fairly basic and it doesn’t have a fancy screen to turn it on/off, but if you just want one that does just what it ‘says on the tin’ then this is definitely the one I would recommend for you.
